Dalmatian print

Cada temporada y cada selva tiene su "rey animal". Si el año pasado el print más destacado fue el leopardo, este año el trono ha sido para el estampado de serpiente. Pero basta de hablar del pasado!! en moda siempre hay que mirar hacia adelante y apostar por la próxima tendencia. Siguiendo esta filosofía, hoy vamos a hablar del que (yo creo) va a ser el estampado de la temporada que ya está llegando.... el dálmata.
Y voy a argumentar mi teoría con las prendas que tenemos disponibles en las tiendas en estos momentos.

Every season and every jungle has a king. Regarding the animal print, last year´s king was the leopard print and this year the snake has been the winner. But no more chat about the past!! Let´s move on and look forward to guess what the next trend is going to be. In my opinion, for this coming season, we should definitively bet for the dalmatian print. As arguments for my theory I will use the pictures of the garments that you can find in stores right now:

A ésta siguiente la tengo entre el sí y el no. La combinación con los pantalones de cuero negro me parece acertada pero es que le quedan taaaaaaaaaaaaaan mal. Y el luego el toque de color con los zapatos no me emociona (por mucho Louboutin que sean) hubiese quedado mejor un color más vivo. Y es que qué mal le quedan los pantalones!!

I have doubts about the next outfit. I do not know if I like it or not. On one hand, the leather trousers are a great option to team the dalmatian print with, but these trousers look horrible on her, they do not suit her at all. And on the other hand, I do not think that the color of the shoes add any extra value. I would have picked any other brighter color. In any case, there is nothing she can do in those trousers because they would ruin any outfit. 

Y vamos a cerrar el post con los ejemplos a evitar:
Lady Gaga...... pues en su línea, es decir, o vendes millones de discos o no puedes salir así a la calle. Claramente es un disfraz en plan sexy de Cruela de Vil. Eso sí, la combinación con rojo funciona y el abrigo no es feo, aunque al ser tan largo resulta claramente excesivo:

And we are coming to the end so let´s talk about the outfits to avoid.
Lady Gaga..... in a Cruella de Vil costume. I must admit that the dalmatian print and red work well together and the coat is not awful though it is excesive because it is too long 

Y qué podemos decir de Paris Hilton!!! es que ésta no se cuela en una lista de las mejor vestidas ni por casualidad. Lección a aprender de este despropósito de outfit. El dálmata se rige por las mismas leyes naturales que el resto de estampados animal, es decir, NUNCA NUNCA NUNCA abuses de ellos, y aquí tenemos el ejemplo: abrigo + vestido = desastre

And the last (and the least).... Paris Hilton!!! What can I say? She will never ever be in any of the best dressed list. But let´s learn something from her outfit. Dalmatian print follows the same rules than other animal prints, this is to say, less is more. 

Yo ya he sucumbido a la tendencia estas rebajas. Me he comprado una camisa en Zara que fue amor a primera vista. Entré en la tienda, nos miramos fijamente y al instante supimos que estábamos hechas la una para la otra, me la llevé a casa y desde entonces vivimos juntas :)

Hola!!

Desde hace tiempo llevo viendo en las tiendas mucha bisutería con búhos y aunque no he leído en ningún lado que sean tendencia, cuando están en casi todas las tiendas por algo será, así que éste va a ser el tema de hoy.
Vamos a ver qué tenemos disponible por las tiendas online. Especifico "disponible en las tiendas online" porque en las tiendas "físicas" tienen muchos más modelos. Pues allá vamos:

I have been seeing many items of imitation jewellery with owls in the stores for a while, and though I have  not found this in magazines, it is obvious that there is trend here because it is on the street. So this is what we are talking about today. Let´s have a look at what we can find in the "online stores". I specify "online stores" because I found many more models in the street stores. Here we go:

No ha sido fácil encontrar fotos de famosas llevando este complemento, de hecho, sólo he encontrado una de Mischa Barton, y no es que actualmente sea una "it girl" de primera línea. Pero bueno chicas, que esto no os desanime a no llevar bisutería con búhos, es más podemos decir que ahora somos nosotras las primeras en llevar una tendencia!

It has not been an easy task to find pictures of celebrities wearing this kind of items. In fact, I have only found this one of Mischa Barton and this worries me because she is not an "it girl" right now. But do not let this issue bring you down and say bye bye to the owls yet, let´s take this as an opportunity of being the first girls in wearing the trends for the very first time!
